Streakin Socks-Allie

Reserve price Not met!

Meet Streakin Socks-Allie. She is a 2008 model registered quarter horse mare standing 15.2hh. Although she is a mare, she doesn’t have the typical “mare” attitude. She really rides to the riders level. She does not take advantage of beginner riders and is very forgiving. She neck reins great and will ride off your seat and legs. A little goes a long way with this girl. She has smooth gaits both bareback and saddled. Her transitions are smooth and she knows her leads. Put a 6 year old on her and turn them loose in the woods with no worry. She has no problem being in the lead, or going away from the group. She’s isn’t bothered by noises on the trail: road traffic, airplanes flying low, other animals nearby, etc. Wherever you ask her to go, she goes! Put a professional barrel racer on her and she knows her job. Take her in the alley way with ease and she is ready to work. Nose glued to the barrels, back end engaged, and she kicks the after burners on. This girl can run. She doesn’t need you to pull on her. She’s automatic, FAST, and enjoys her job. I just ran her from her being in the pasture for a month and it was the same run. She’s special!! She has the patience of a 28 year old horse. She stands tied for hours without a problem, ground ties, and she loads and unloads safely and with ease. She stands for the farrier. Currently, she is not shod. She is low maintenance and has given us no reason to put shoes on. She is easy to catch. No kick, no buck, no bite. She loves baths. Allie is truly a teddy bear. She is your automatic barrel horse if you’re looking for that, or she is your woodsy, laid back trail horse if you’d rather that. She rides the same with a halter as she does with a simple snaffle bit. You don’t need anything elaborate for this girl. She really is a once in a lifetime horse. You can swing a rope off her with ease. She stands like a statue for kids to play around, crawl under, or do tricks on her back. We’ve gone back and forth on keeping her, but ultimately this girl is just too smart and has too much potential to be with a military service family who is always busy. The term “kids horse” is not a term I use lightly, but she has proven herself to be a kids horse. She is gentle and loves the attention the kids show her! She can be used as a lead line party horse, but deserves to live out her full potential. She is happy in a stall, turned out, riding the trails, running barrels, getting attention, or just being alone eating. She is a happy horse with a big heart! Allie comes from great bloodlines. “The influence through his daughters and sons is Streakin Six’s biggest impact on the breed,” Dr. Glenn Blodgett, manager of the Burnett Ranches’ Four Sixes horse division, said. “A stallion can’t get into the Hall of Fame solely by his race record. He also has to be a great sire. Streakin Six is a very deserving horse. I’ve been fortunate to have been involved with a lot of great horses, and he’s definitely one of them.” Streakin Six was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 2011.
