Theodore

Theodore is just as snuggly and sweet as his name portrays him to be. This handsome 8 year old, 14.1 hand John mule is the one we get calls for all the time. If you want, quiet, safe, gentle, but most importantly a new family member, he is the one for you. Theodore is excellent on the trails. Whether you are alone or in a group, he rides the same. He is excellent in various terrain whether it’s a wide road or a narrow path. He goes down banks nicely, crosses water, steps over logs, and goes away from the group when asked. Theodore rides in a britchen or crupper with no issues. He neck reins nicely. He has a super smooth jog and a rocking chair kind of lope. He does all of that bareback as well. You can even ride him with just a halter. Theodore is easy to catch, in fact he is usually waiting for you at the gate. He stands quietly while tied. He trailers well. He gets along nicely in a herd as well. Theodore has been on countless camping trips and ties out on the high line with ease. Whenever we have an inexperienced rider that wants to to ride with us, Theodore is the one we put them on, but he is well trained enough to be enjoyable for more experienced riders too. He stands nicely for the farrier. He handles the chaos of family and kids with grace. Simply put, Theodore is the entire package.
