Vixen

This 9 year old Gypsian (Gypsy X Friesian) mare stands 15.2 hands tall with all the color and substance one could want in a sport horse. I’d like to preface this ad by saying I’ve been a trainer for 15+ years and horses like vixen absolutely become a favorite to swing your leg over everyday! She is FUN/SMART and TALENTED. Vixen is the epitome of beautiful from her build to her markings and long locks!!! While she is undeniably stunning Vixen isn’t just all look, she has a very sensible mind and rides quiet both in and out of the arena. This mare IS quiet and sensible all day long! We have rode her with a flag, beach umbrella and drug a sled and she never once put up a fuss, I can step off her and let a kiddo climb aboard and trust she won’t out a foot wrong with them and then get right back on and go to lateral work in a breeze. Vixen by far will be one of the nicest horse I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and if I could keep one for myself it’s undoubted this mare right here. She has endless potential in several different careers from safe trail horse to a dressage or jumper. She is extremely soft and supple in her mouth and through her poll as well as round and strong over the back. She naturally tracks up very correct and visually appealing- all her gaits are fluid and comfortable and really grab attention from those watching her. This is a fancy mare and will excel at whatever direction you point her with her incredible work ethic and athletic abilities. In the arena she’s been ridden both English and western and does equally well in both. She knows how to stay soft in contact, side pass, leg yield and move her hips and shoulders. Vixen has nice traditions and a wonderful stop, she takes both leads and will do simple lead changes. Vixen is a take red jumper and she adores it just point and shoot and she will jump it from cross rails to flower boxes and logs out in woods she’s happy to soar for you! Out of the arena she’s a confident trail horse and will travel over rough and uneven terrain without issue, she goes through water and mud and over bridges and other obstacles. Vixen has also been exposed to cattle and will track and push them pasture to pasture confidently. I’ve used her in my lesson program and she is youth and amateur friendly, would easily be able to be finished under the guidance of a trainer by someone looking to put the finishing touches on their first show prospect or just a fancy personal horse. Vixen is sound and healthy, requires no maintenance and is an easy keeper as well as easy to live with! Vixen stands tied, is good in her stall or in turn out and loves to be pampered and spoiled like any sweet mare should. She is great for the vet and farrier and stands quiet in the wash rack for a bath. She loads and hauls nicely and is the same horse in new places- requires no prep just unload her, saddle up and get to riding. Vixen has no vices and is overall the whole package for anyone looking for a gorgeous trail horse or show prospect!
