White Willy

Winning Bid: $10,000.00

“WHITE WILLY” is an 8-year-old appaloosa john mule. He stands between 14.2 and 14.3 hands tall. White Willy has been in our herd for several years. He’s a crowd favorite. Our youngest son Cruze started riding White Willy when he was 4 years old & it inspired his love for mules. He’s been trail ridden all over the Midwest, been used on the ranch, roped loose cattle, & has drug out bulls at rodeos. White Willy is easy to load, he will stand tied to just about anything, stands for a bath, good with his legs, ears, & face. He’ll be waiting at the gate for you to catch him. White Willy works rope in the pasture better than most horses, he’s caught more cows than we can count(well over 200 in the pasture), & can pull the world. He’s roped quite a few steers out of the box too, you can rope either end on him. White Willy also won 2nd in the mule race at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee while we were at the Chuck Wagon Races. He didn’t lose by much & it was to a mule who had previously been on the racetrack! As soon as the race was over, he put his head down & walked right back to camp! Speaking of camp, for the last year he’s been guiding trail rides at a riding stable/campground. He’s as good minded & willing as any mule you’d ever want to own. You can leave him in the pasture for months, when you catch him, he’ll be the same as you’ve been riding him all along. He’s as sure footed as they come & will cross anything you have in front of him. We can’t say enough good things about him, & we will be sad to see him go. White Willy has 1 down fall, he gets bored & will weave when tied or in a stall (all the good ones have one quirk right!!). We just have entirely too many other horses & mules that need started & it’s always just easier to catch the broke ones. His video & pictures should speak for themselves, there’s not much we haven’t asked White Willy to do!! He is in Koontz Lake, Indiana, if you have any more questions contact Clay Norris at 574.780.8378
