Yankee

Yankee is a beautiful 12 year old roan gelding, that will turn heads everywhere you go. He stands just under 15HH and is put together like one should be. This beautiful gelding has been used on the ranch extensively. He is a brave and trustworthy horse. He has penned and roped cows at the stock pens, been used in 4H horse shows and is a fantastic trail mount. Yankee has a in your pocket personality, he will follow you around like a lost puppy. Gentle for anyone to handle. He has had natural horsemanship training and is very soft and supple on the ground as well as on his back. Yankee is very forgiving to his rider making him the perfect candidate for beginners and also a ball of fun for the advanced kids or adults to go use. He will give to pressure off his fore quarters and hind quarters. He stands very quietly and patiently to be tied both in the cross ties and tied out. He waits patiently to be saddled and bridled. Yankee is a dream for the farrier, vet easy to clip. Yankee loves being groomed and will fall asleep to belly scratches. Stands perfect to mount and always rides off slow and easy. The coolest thing about this guy is he stays insanely broke and gentle even with time off. He is just as happy to ride once a week or once a month and he will be the same no matter what. He is safe around traffic, machinery, and just about any amount of chaos you can find. Yankee has a lot of handle under saddle. He neck reins, rides off leg pressure and has a good one hand back. He will pick up right into a slow lope or can jog as slow as you want to go. Ride him bareback or tack him all the way up, it makes absolutely no difference to him he will do it all! The coolest thing about him is he is very laid back and never gets worked up. He never gets fresh, has ZERO spook and is practically bombproof. Yankee is a great trail horse. He will go up, down, or through anything. He is completely content with just going down any trail no matter the condition. He has encountered lots of wildlife and handles it like a true veteran.
