Evangeline

Evangeline is a 4 year old Friesian Sport Horse mare that stands 15.2 hands tall. This mare is heavy made with substance and bone for days- she also has the coolest split face marking! Eva is by far the nicest sport horse I’ve ever had in my barn and undoubtedly the most fun to ride! This mare is so versatile in both her mind and athletic ability. She is easy to be around on the ground and stands quiet for grooming, bathing, clipping, vet/farrier work, saddling etc. She stands on cross ties or single ties, loads easily onto any style trailer- hauls quiet and backs off willingly. In the arena this mare rides around soft in her chin and has great collection and extension in all three gaits, takes both leads and has a nice simple lead change. Eva bends and softens to both sides and breaks at the poll, her impulsion and movement are exceptional and smooth to ride both english and western. I could see her making a nice dressage horse to take up through the levels with her movement and eager to please mindset. She is very body broke and moves her shoulders, rib cage and hips on both sides. She side passes, turns on haunches, turns on forehand, leg yields, travers/renvers and has fantastic transitions. Eva has been started over ground poles and is brave to fences- no refusal in her whatsoever. Eva has had a rope thrown off her, carried a flag, been over trail obstacles like bridges, narrow platforms, over tarps, around cows and she even side passes to the mounting block to pick you up and lays down! Eva is relaxed and quiet out on trail and will go anywhere you point her. She confidently navigates up and down steep grades, over any terrain and through brush/water and is traffic safe. Eva will ride out alone or with others with ease. This mare has a great foundation and is ready to go in any direction, I think she could easily make anyone a handy ranch horse, or phenomenal eventing prospect, with her eagerness to jump and advanced body control for dressage! She has been used in my lesson program and has the mind to make a fantastic lesson horse for either western or english lessons from youth level and up.
